I have a hard drive hooked up to a USB port. From Control Panel ->Device Manager under Disk drives the device does appear. When I run Start->Computer the drive does not appear. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Not seeing hard drive on USB
Hi Chris
Have you tried looking in the disk management tool?
Start-> right click on computer -> manage
Then select "Storage" and Disk Management - you might find that the disk has been recognised but has had no drive letter associated with it, if that is the case then right click onto it and select "change drive letter and path" and then you can add a drive letter.
Cheers
